The NSW GBOTA is calling for applications for a casual position as a member of the Track and Grounds Maintenance team at Maitland.

The position includes assisting the track curator, back-up lure driving on race and trial days and the maintenance of venue facilities such as kennels, patron areas, bathrooms and surrounding grounds.
The track team member would report to the NSW GBOTA Maitland Line Manager and be required to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, Greyhound Racing NSW employees and venue users.

This is a casual position and hours are generally 7.30am to 11.30am Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 3pm to 9pm on Thursday. Earlier or later start times are sometimes necessary. The track team member would also be trained to take over track maintenance duties when the curator takes annual leave.
The successful applicant would need to be a confident self-starter with some knowledge of general maintenance, a current driver’s licence and a willingness to learn. Welding and mechanical knowledge and experience in driving a tractor would be an advantage. Race meeting and/or trial meeting attendance is required.

Remuneration is for a grade one racecourse attendant and maintenance and horticulture employee level two in accordance with the Racing Clubs Event Award 2010 and the Racing Industry Ground Maintenance Award 2010.
